Welcome

I'm Mary Lee. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in Professional and Technical Communication in May 2013. Recently, I have worked for Sci-Tech Discovery Center as a STEM educator. Most of my time is spent on the road leading grant based outreach programs or writing new curriculum. I love that this type of job uses the technical writing skills that I learned in my Research Methodology class at UNT. I also find myself referring to my notes and textbook from my Creativity and Innovation class at Walt Disney World’s College Program so that I can make my curriculum and presentations more entertaining.

Before Sci-Tech, I worked for National Teachers Associates Life Insurance Company (NTA Life) in the Dispute Resolution Team. My role in the Dispute Resolution Team was to evaluate and respond to claim appeals, DOI and BBB complaints, and matters involving legal and public relations. I had the amazing opportunity to work with NTA Life’s senior staff on a daily basis, and present them with my research about the various disputes.
